Frequently Asked Questions

Wait Times.

We currently have immediate availability with a member of our team for psychotherapy services.

In-Person Services.

At this time, we offer in-person therapy and assessment sessions at our office located at 15221 Yonge Street in Aurora. Comprehensive psychological assessments are often conducted using a hybrid model in which you may be asked to participate in both video and in-person assessment sessions depending on the nature of the assessment you require.

Fees and Payment.

All fees for therapy, assessment, and consultation services are based on the recommended guidelines of the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA). Individual fees vary depending on the type of service requested. Payment is due at the end of each session and is payable by credit card.

Extended Health Benefits.

Most extended health benefits cover all or some of the cost of services provided by a licensed Psychologist, Registered Psychotherapist, or Social Worker. However, different insurers offer different amounts and types of coverage. It is recommended that you contact your insurer prior to your initial appointment to learn the details of your coverage.

Cancellation Policy.

Your appointment is reserved for you. Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel an appointment. If you do not cancel within 24 hours, you will be responsible for paying for the missed session.

Initial Phone Consultation.

The initial phone consultation is a brief 10 to 15 minute meeting with a member of our intake team at no cost to you. You will be asked to provide a brief description of the problem area you would like to work on in treatment or the nature of the assessment or consultation services you are requesting. Based on this discussion, we will match you with a member of our team that will best meet your needs.

Privacy and Confidentiality.

Protecting your privacy is important to us and we adhere to Ontario’s health privacy legislation, the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). There are some limits to confidentiality, which we will review in depth during your initial session.
